THE WALL in Copenhagen is a 12 meter long installation with 4 large multi touch plasma screens, that allow visitors to navigate through a virtual Copenhagen. The cityscape is constructed with the Copenhagen Museum’s image collection, which includes historic as well as contemporary images.

Visitors can view each media item that makes up the city in detail, read its description, comment, and add to the cityscape by uploading their own images and videos. I worked on UX for the installation and website. Visual design by Spild af Tid.

Online aviation safety management application. I was involved with architecture, visual and UX design of the software.

This package allows registered companies to document and process all their safety occurrences, to take corrective actions and keep track of their progress, and to plan safety meetings and save meeting minutes.

Copenhagen Museum

Combined website for Copenhagen Museum and THE WALL installation. I was involved with the UX; visual design by Spild af Tid. Both website and installation allow the user to navigate through a poetic cityscape of Copenhagen, based on the Copenhagen Museum’s image collection. The user can view and learn about the individual media items, add written or video comments and upload their own images and videos.

For implementation on the web, we chose for the Museum and WALL homepages to have a large Flash part at the top, which functions similar to THE WALL, but is adapted for use with a mouse. The web cityscape can be explored by moving the mouse over it.

Individual parts of the city reveal more information on hover, and are clickable. All clickable media items from the landscape are linked to their detail pages on THE WALL part of the site. A dynamic selection of images from the database, uploaded by the Museum and by the public, are loaded at the bottom of the cityscape.

Because the website of the Copenhagen Museum is fully integrated with the website of THE WALL installation, both parts of the website are represented in the web cityscape. From the Museum part of the site, you can enter THE WALL part, and vice versa.

On all pages other than WALL and Museum homepages, the moving cityscape is hidden away to facilitate use of the site’s other functions. The Museum part of the site has visitor and exhibition information, while THE WALL site works like a social photo sharing site for and about Copenhagen.

Design and development of touch screen interactive, part of permanent exhibition Awesome Forces in the Te Papa museum in Wellington. Visitors can explore the interactive to get more information on how the earth’s forces have shaped New Zealand. After every section there is a quiz to emphasise the most important part of the information.
